Born in Bern, Switzerland in 1961, now living in Tel Aviv, Israel.  

 

Constantly striving to meet new people, and experience and learn about new cultures,
I have studied  worked and travelled in multiple countries.

 

I have always felt the need to create something from nothing. Taking up painting at an early age, I then moved on to sculpture as a young adult.  Unlike a two-dimensional painting, sculpting enables me to transform a piece of clay into a multi-dimensional creation which resonates in new and often surprising ways when observed from various angles. As we are all multi-faceted in some way, I find this analogous to viewing us humans. Sculpting gives me an unmediated medium to express feelings and thoughts. These evolve as I interact with the material to amalgamate composite sculptures. The works are a mix of vigor and tenderness in which fantasy and realism are combined.

 
After years of hesitation, I decided to share these works beyond my close family and friends.
